All Zenair designs can be assembled from a kit and registered in the "experimental" or "amateur-built" category. It does not matter whether the aircraft you build meets the definition of a ULM, an LSA or of a standard-category aircraft, when finished, you will be able to register the aircraft in the "amateur-built" category of your country, according to the rules in effect. There are some nice benefits to doing this!

Also, some representatives can provide builder-assistance with airframe assembly, engine installation, instrumentation and/or aircraft finishing! Contact your local representative for details...
In some countries, a number of Zenair kits have been evaluated and "approved" thereby allowing the completed aircraft to be used by aeroclubs for training and rental, as well as for glider towing. This is the case in France where a number of Zenair kits are CNSK-certified.
