ZENAIR Limited was founded by Christophe (Chris) Heintz, an experienced aeronautical engineer and aircraft designer, who moved to Canada after working many years with Aerospatiale and Avion Robin in France. As founder, president and chief engineer of Zenair Ltd. for over thirty years, Mr. Heintz designed and developed over a dozen new aircraft models, which have all been at some point marketed as kit aircraft around the world. Today, more than 1500 Zenair aircraft are presently flying around the world in over 48 different countries. Heintz designs have earned an excellent reputation among pilots, builders, the press, and aviation authorities for their durable all-metal construction, pleasant flight characteristics, superior reliability, and very low maintenance requirements. |

Today, Zenair is continuing this proud tradition of light aircraft design and manufacturing. There are a number of facilities around the world that manufacture Zenair kits under license, and a growing interest in ready-to-fly Zenair sportplanes. AMD currently manufactures certified Zenair designs for the US market; new facilities are now being developed in Europe to meet the demand here. In close collaboration with Zenair SARL and its European dealer network, Zenair is well positioned to continue growing in the direction envisioned by its founder extra-ordinaire. Chris Heintz is now enjoying a well deserved retirement in his native France. |

Over the years, Zenair was the recipient of the prestigious Federation Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) Honorary Group Diploma for "greatly contributing to the progress of aviation"; Chris Heintz was inducted into the EAA "Hall of Fame" in 1999. Zenair continues to design and manufacture light, all-metal aircraft for recreational builders and pilots. We are committed in our approach which is to help ordinary individuals achieve extraordinary dreams. We do this by offering quality designs, detailed instructions, hands-on workshops, accessible technical assistance and second-to-none customer support. After so many years in the business, Zenair is happy to report it is succeeding: Over 4000 happy kit builders can’t be wrong! |

Zenair is a member and supporter of the Experimental Aircraft Assoc. (EAA), the Small Aircraft Manufacturers Assoc. (SAMA), the Light Aircraft Manufacturers Assoc. (LAMA), and numerous other organizations dedicated to the development and advancement of sport aviation; as a company, we are continuously involved in projects devoted to aviation education and the advancement of sport aviation around the world. |
