In Europe, the CH 650 E is available as a 49% or 100% kit from Zenair SARL or as a ready-to-fly ULM; In North America, the Zodiac LS has been available as an S-LSA from AMD since the summer of 2008. Kits for the Zodiac CH 650 will soon be offered in the US through Zenith Aircraft Co. Check the Zenith website for details. |

New features on the E/LS model include a larger (higher and longer) two-piece bubble canopy, a more spacious cabin baggage area, an integrated roll-over frame, and a sleeker new rudder. In addition, the European 650 model will be specifically configured for the Rotax 912S engine and BRS recovery system. As with previous European 601s, the 650 E will again come equipped with a two-piece landing gear system and various other light-weight components including wheels, brakes and smaller fuel tanks (2 x 46 liters). |

The Zenair Zodiac series is one of the most successful and well established kit-aircraft designs of all times. First introduced in 1984, the series has included various models over the years, each offering distinct new features and “upgrades”. These have included the HD, HDS, UL, XL and ULM models. For 2009, Zenair is introducing the latest evolution of the Zodiac as the CH 650 E/LS (the E model as a European ULM, and the LS as a S-LSA in the U.S.A.). |
